DIEEC partners with external organizations to offer quality-assured training opportunities. All training that is quality assured and offered by these organizations will be listed on the dieecpd registry.
Professional Learning Curriculum Approval
DIEEC designs, delivers, and evaluates training based on adult learning theories, research, and models. The curriculum used in child care is approved by alignment with the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework, Delaware Professional Competencies, and other essential criteria. Thus, professional development is similarly aligned. Please note that all elements and fields of the curriculum workshop approval forms are required.
To deliver quality-assured professional development to Delaware’s early care and education workforce, there is a two-step process for three years of approval.
The first step is to get the entrepreneur/for-profit or sponsoring organization registered. The next step is to get the workshop curriculum approved. Once the entrepreneur/organization has been accepted, the “curriculum only” may be submitted for future curriculum submissions.

Your curriculum will be reviewed by DIEEC using the professional learning curriculum approval rubric.
You will be contacted with questions or feedback, and approval takes approximately 30 days.

After your workshop is approved, you will receive a professional learning experience memorandum of understanding.
To list specific training dates on the DIEEC training calendar, please complete and submit this professional learning experience details form. We ask that all training be listed 30 days in advance. Entrepreneurs will be assessed each time it is listed on the site.
