The Devereux Center for Resilient Children strives to “foster resilience in and promote the social and emotional development of young children (birth to age 5), so that they can be successful in both school and life.” In a recent blog post, the Devereux Center shared helpful ideas for weaving social-emotional learning into everyday classroom activities. By focusing on these skills in the context of existing activities, you help children build a lifelong foundation- strengthening their communication, teaching them to manage emotions in healthy ways, and fostering the empathy needed to resolve conflicts and build lasting relationships.
