Quality Care and Family Services

New Directions Early Head Start (NDEHS) provides pregnant participants, infants, toddlers and their families with quality care and family services. We support families by providing the best services for them and their very young children with the goal to promote children’s success and families’ self-sufficiency through community collaboration and partnerships. This includes both home visiting and center-based services for families.

We have centers in Wilmington – Neighborhood House Inc. and Hilltop Lutheran Neighborhood Center, as well as in Newark with the Early Learning Center at University of Delaware.

NDEHS provides home-based care throughout New Castle and Kent Counties. Offering both types of services allow for families to choose the option that works best for them.

NDEHS is offered in partnership with the Delaware Institute for Excellence in Early Childhood (DIEEC), housed within the University of Delaware’s College of Education and Human Development.
