Throughout the late winter and early spring of 2022, DIEEC held monthly information sessions for the early childhood professional community. These sessions to learn more about how we can support you in navigating the early childhood landscape.
We are excited to share our supports and services and how they work toward the state’s larger goals. We will walk you through what engaging with DIEEC can look like as we collaborate for the best possible outcomes for children and families.
The first of the three planned information sessions took place on March 9, where an overview of available supports was shared and discussed.
Key Takeaways from the March 9, 2022 Information Sharing Session
- DIEEC has made some adjustments to intentionally align the services we’re offering with the needs of the early childhood professionals in Delaware and the state’s direction for the overarching early childhood system.
- New DIEEC teams are here to comprehensively support the needs of specific groups of professionals, including family child care professionals, program leaders and administrators, and classroom educators.
- DIEEC Technical Assistants are available now and are focused on supporting programs throughout their quality improvement cycle. TAs will support programs to evaluate their current practices, select which area(s) they would like to set goals for improvement, review and select available supports to work toward their goals, and evaluate their progress.
- DIEEC is offering tailored Professional Learning Experiences (PLEs) to support early childhood professionals in their professional growth. In addition to a training portion, all PLEs include intentional follow-up to support professionals in implementation, translating their learning to their practice.
