The Home-Based Child Care (HBCC) Initiative at the Delaware Institute for Excellence in Early Childhood (DIEEC) is led by Dr. Juliet Bromer, one of the nation’s foremost experts in this area. For nearly two decades, Dr. Bromer has been at the forefront of HBCC research, shaping the national evidence base on quality, supply, workforce, and policy supports for both regulated family child care and family, friend, and neighbor (FFN) care.
Bringing her extensive research portfolio and leadership to the University of Delaware, Dr. Bromer continues to drive critical research and evaluation projects designed to inform policy, strengthen child care systems, and elevate the visibility of home-based child care nationwide.
