Family child care community meetings offer valuable opportunities to connect with fellow educators and network coordinators. These gatherings provide a supportive space to ask questions, engage in meaningful conversations, share ideas and experiences, and explore topics that matter most to you.
Each month, there are five statewide opportunities to participate, including one in-person meeting in each region of Delaware: New Castle County, Kent County, Sussex County, and Wilmington- as well as a virtual option. All family child care educators are warmly invited and encouraged to join.

Las reuniones comunitarias de cuidado infantil familiar ofrecen valiosas oportunidades para conectarse con otros educadores y coordinadores de redes. Cada mes, hay seis oportunidades en todo el estado para participar, incluyendo una reunión presencial en cada región de Delaware —condado de New Castle, condado de Kent, condado de Sussex y Wilmington— así como una opción virtual. As in prior years, programs must be actively engaged in quality improvement to be eligible for a FY27 Quality Improvement Award.
Programs are encouraged to reach out to their assigned DIEEC QISp to get started, leaving ample time prior to the application deadline to collaborate on planning.

Come visit DIEEC's table at Community Day! We'll be there to spread the word about the value of high-quality early childhood experiences!
The City of Newark's Parks and Recreation Department, in cooperation with the University of Delaware, and the Christina School District present the area's premier festival on Sunday, September 20. This exciting event features fun for the entire family. The Green provides the perfect outdoor venue for local musicians and demonstration groups. A food court will have a variety of foods. Fine Art and Homemade Craft vendors will be displaying and selling their creations. The Children's Area is always a big hit with scarecrow making and more. Community information booths and activities are supplied by a variety of local businesses and organizations.
